Entering into therapy is a meaningful decision to make.  I have the privilege of meeting clients in a space of open reflection and compassionate connection with the aim of creating lasting change.  Whether you come alone or with a loved one, I will assist you in realizing your unique strengths and guide you toward removing the roadblocks that stand in the way of you leading your most fulfilling and authentic life.

 

 

About Rachel Goldsmith, MA, LMFT

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who provides therapy and counseling services to adult individuals, couples, and families in Evanston, Illinois.  I received a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University where my intensive systemic and integrative training exposed me to a diverse client population.  It was through this clinical training that I developed a passion for working with couples in distress and young people struggling with their transition into adulthood.  Prior to this, I also earned a Masters of Arts from Miami University in clinical psychology where I was trained in a variety of treatment modalities, taught undergraduate courses, provided assessment and therapy services to adults and children, and performed research on treatment outcomes for individuals with significant mental illness.  In addition to this training and experience, I am an individual supervisor to trainee therapists in the Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy program at The Family Institute.  I am  also currently an AAMFT Supervisor and available to offer supervision to AMFT's who are moving toward licensure in our field.
